Generating High-Intent Leads for a Premium Service in the UAE ( Health Sector)
Google Search + Demand Gen | UAE
The client operates in a premium service category targeting high-net-worth individuals and financially qualified customers in the UAE.
The challenge was quite different from a typical lead-generation campaign.
We didn’t need thousands of leads. We needed the right people to find the business, understand the value of the service and start a serious conversation.
The Situation
The business already had a strong service offering, but the digital acquisition journey needed improvement.
The website was not being used as a proper conversion asset, and there was an opportunity to build a dedicated landing page specifically for paid traffic.
The biggest consideration was the audience.
For an HNI-focused service, sending traffic to a generic page and asking visitors to immediately fill out a form can create unnecessary friction.
So before launching the campaigns, we worked on the landing page and conversion journey first.
Building the Landing Page Around the Customer
The landing page was created specifically for the UAE paid traffic campaigns.
Rather than filling the page with excessive information, the focus was on getting the visitor to quickly understand:
What the service is
Who it is meant for
Why the service is different
Why they should trust the business
What they can expect after making an enquiry
The page was also designed with a clear WhatsApp CTA.
This became an important part of the campaign because visitors showed a clear preference for starting a conversation directly on WhatsApp rather than completing a traditional enquiry form.
That behaviour influenced how we measured the campaign.
A WhatsApp conversation wasn’t treated as just another website click. It became one of the main conversion actions.
Running Google Search
Search was the first layer of acquisition.
The objective was to capture people in the UAE who were already searching for services related to the client’s offering.
We started with high-intent search terms and gradually refined the account based on actual search behaviour.
The campaign was continuously reviewed for:
Search terms
Keyword relevance
Location performance
Device performance
CPC
Conversion rate
WhatsApp activity
Lead quality
Irrelevant searches were filtered out through negative keywords, while stronger search themes received more focus.
The idea was simple:
Capture people who already have a reason to look for the service.
Adding Demand Gen
Search gave us access to existing demand.
But relying only on people who were already searching limited the size of the opportunity.
We therefore introduced Demand Gen to reach relevant UAE audiences earlier in the decision-making process.
The creative approach was different from Search.
Instead of communicating only around a search query, the ads focused more on:
The value of the service
Premium positioning
Trust
Aspirational messaging
Strong visual communication
Demand Gen also gave us another audience pool to work with for remarketing and consideration.
This allowed the campaign to work across different stages of the customer journey rather than depending entirely on bottom-of-funnel searches.
The Conversion Behaviour We Found
One of the more interesting findings came after traffic started flowing to the landing page.
A large percentage of the prospects who wanted to enquire did not use the form.
They went directly to WhatsApp.
This was particularly relevant for a high-value service.
A potential HNI customer may have several questions before submitting personal information or requesting a consultation.
WhatsApp provided a much easier first step.
So instead of trying to force visitors into the form journey, we leaned into the behaviour that was already working.
The acquisition journey became:
Google Ad → Landing Page → WhatsApp → Sales Conversation
The form remained available, but WhatsApp became the stronger conversion route.
Campaign Results
Over the campaign period, the account generated a steady volume of traffic and enquiries from the UAE market.
Overall Performance
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Ad Spend | AED 18,500 |
| Impressions | 280K+ |
| Website Visits | 3,100+ |
| Average CPC | AED 5.95 |
| Total Enquiries | 140+ |
| WhatsApp Enquiries | 100+ |
| Form Enquiries | 40+ |
| Average Cost per Enquiry | ~AED 132 |
| Qualified Prospects | 40–45 |
| Cost per Qualified Prospect | ~AED 430 |
| Serious Conversations / Consultations | 20+ |
The important point wasn’t simply generating 140+ enquiries.
The campaign was able to bring those enquiries into a qualification process, where the business could identify the prospects who actually matched the service.
Around 40–45 prospects were identified as relevant/qualified opportunities from the initial enquiry pool.
That gave the sales team a much more useful pipeline than simply chasing the cheapest possible leads.
Search and Demand Gen Played Different Roles
The two campaigns were not treated as competing campaigns.
They served different purposes.
Search
Search captured existing demand.
People were already looking for a solution, so the focus was on:
Intent → Click → Enquiry
Demand Gen
Demand Gen worked further up the funnel.
The focus was on:
Audience → Awareness → Interest → Website Visit → Enquiry
This combination gave the account both an intent-capture layer and an audience-expansion layer.
What We Changed During the Campaign
The campaign wasn’t launched and left running.
As data came in, we made changes based on what the users were actually doing.
Search terms were cleaned up.
Poor-performing traffic was reduced.
Higher-intent searches received more attention.
Landing page behaviour was monitored.
WhatsApp clicks were tracked alongside form submissions.
And most importantly, the campaign was evaluated based on lead quality, not just the number appearing inside Google Ads.
That distinction matters a lot when the service has a high customer value.
A lead costing AED 80 isn’t necessarily better than one costing AED 150 if the AED 150 lead has a significantly higher chance of becoming a customer.
The Main Learning
The biggest learning from the campaign was that premium lead generation needs a different approach from mass-market lead generation.
For this audience, the job of Google Ads wasn’t simply to generate enquiries.
It was to bring the right audience to a page that felt credible enough to start a conversation.
The landing page, Search campaigns, Demand Gen creatives and WhatsApp journey all had to work together.
The final acquisition journey looked like this:
UAE Audience
↓
Google Search / Demand Gen
↓
Dedicated Landing Page
↓
Trust + Service Positioning
↓
WhatsApp / Form
↓
Lead Qualification
↓
Consultation / Sales Conversation
The result was a more structured paid acquisition system for a premium service – with Google Ads acting as the first point of contact and WhatsApp taking over when the prospect was ready to have a conversation.
